Admissions Process
Admission to the Master of Public Health (MPH) programme is governed by the regulations and notifications issued by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal. Admissions are based on merit in the Computer-Based Entrance Test (CBT) conducted by KNRUHS, followed by the University counselling process.
Intake
Total Intake: 50 Seats
Convener Quota: 25 Seats
Admission under the Convener Quota is subject to the reservation policy and local area regulations prescribed by KNRUHS and the Government of Telangana. Fifty percent of the Convener Quota seats are reserved for eligible local candidates.
A Local Candidate is a candidate who has studied in educational institutions in Telangana for at least four consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which they appeared, or first appeared, for the qualifying examination.
Management Quota: 25 Seats
Candidates seeking admission to the MPH programme must satisfy the eligibility criteria prescribed by KNRUHS.
Age
There is no age restriction for admission to the MPH programme.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
● A Bachelor's Degree with an aggregate of at least 50% marks in any discipline from a recognised university.
● The university must be recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and be a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
● If the degree has been obtained through Distance Education, it must also be recognised by the Distance Education Council (DEC), UGC and AIU.
● Aggregate marks are calculated from all years of the qualifying degree under the applicable degree scheme.
● Foreign applicants must fulfil the equivalency and statutory registration requirements prescribed by KNRUHS.
● All other applicants must be Indian Nationals and satisfy the Local/Non-Local requirements notified by KNRUHS and the Government of Telangana.
Entrance Test
Candidates seeking admission under both the Convener and Management Quotas must qualify in the Computer-Based Entrance Test conducted by KNRUHS.
● Minimum qualifying marks: 40%
● SC/ST candidates: 30%
● Candidates must be medically fit.

Admission to the MPH programme consists of the following steps:
Step 1. Online Application
Eligible candidates must submit an online application through the KNRUHS website (https://www.knruhs.telangana.gov.in/) within the schedule notified by the University.
Step 2. Computer-Based Entrance Test
Candidates must appear for the Computer-Based Entrance Test conducted by KNRUHS.
Step 3. Merit List
A merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination by candidates who meet the qualifying criteria.
Step 4. Certificate Verification and Counselling
Shortlisted candidates are required to attend certificate verification and participate in the counselling process conducted by KNRUHS. During counselling, eligible candidates exercise their college preferences based on the available seat matrix.
Step 5. Seat Allotment
Seats are allotted based on merit, eligibility, reservation policy, local area regulations, seat availability, and the options exercised during counselling.
Step 6. Reporting to the Allotted College
Candidates allotted a seat must report to the respective college with the required original certificates and complete the admission formalities, including payment of the prescribed tuition fee, within the timelines notified by KNRUHS.
